Mentor System in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Mentors are playable characters who teach your CaC their signature techniques. Pink building icons on the Conton City map mark mentor locations. Each mentor starts with an initiation battle—defeat them to begin training. Three sequential lessons follow, each requiring you to use a newly taught skill during the rematch. Completing lessons fills a friendship bar; when full, you take Advancement Tests at the Patrol Academy to rank up and unlock stronger mentors.
