Time Rift Walkthrough

Time rifts are special areas in Conton City that appear as glowing domes over districts — Capsule Corporation, Guru's House, Frieza's Ship, Majin Buu's House, and Hercule's House. Entering a rift teleports you to a instanced hub with race-specific mentors, parallel quests, and awoken skill progression. Rifts unlock as story mode advances; you cannot access all rifts on day one. Each rift ties to a race or faction: Saiyans and Capsule Corp, Namekians and Guru, Frieza Race and Frieza's Ship, Majin and Buu House, Earthlings and Hercule. Distorted Time Eggs spawn near rift entrances for collection achievements and mentor teases. Completing rift PQs raises mentor friendship, unlocking skills, transformations, and equipment unavailable elsewhere.

The Capsule Corp rift opens early for Saiyan-focused content. Vegeta and Goku mentors train here — learn Galick Gun, Final Flash, Kamehameha variants, and Super Saiyan awoken progression. Complete parallel quests inside the rift to raise Vegeta friendship for Super Saiyan 2 and 3 skill lines. Capsule Corp also hosts structural damage PQs from the Xenoverse 1 callback storyline. Visit after every story saga for new exclamation marks. Non-Saiyan CaCs still visit for universal skills and story scenes. Equipment vendors near the rift sell stat clothing. Super Saiyan God training later shifts partially to Whis, but Capsule Corp remains the Saiyan identity hub for most players.

Guru's House serves Namekian mentors — Piccolo, Nail quests, and Dragon Ball lore PQs that raise Dragon Ball wish progress indirectly through XP. Namekians gain mentor-specific skills; other races visit for parallel quest rewards and Distorted Time Egg routes. Frieza's Ship hosts Frieza and Cooler mentors for Golden Frieza awoken skill, Death Beam supers, and Frieza Race identity content. Frieza rift PQs tend toward Ki-heavy enemy groups — mirror your loadout. Both rifts unlock mid story. Prioritize mentor friendship to level 50 plus for advanced skills. Check mail after each rift PQ marathon — mentors send new lessons when friendship thresholds cross.

Majin Buu's House unlocks Purification progression for Majin CaCs and Buu mentor skills like Innocence Bullet and Assault Rain. Non-Majin players still complete some PQs for Zeni and XP. Hercule's House supports Earthling mentors and comedy-focused parallel quests with surprisingly useful strike skill drops. Earthling Power Pole Pro players should finish Hercule rift chains for equipment boosting Basic Attacks. Both rifts appear in the Buu to late-story window. Distorted Time Eggs often spawn at Buu House entrance — collect weekly for achievement progress toward hidden mentor unlocks teased in loading screens.

After each story saga: scan Conton City map for new rift glows. Enter every rift, talk to all mentors, accept all parallel quests. Collect Distorted Time Eggs when icons appear. Raise one primary mentor friendship per week to avoid quest log clutter. Cross-reference awoken skill guides — Super Saiyan, Golden Frieza, Purification, and Power Pole Pro each require specific rift completions. Return to rifts at level 99 for Super difficulty parallel quests added in post-game. Online players may see other Patrollers in rift instances — emote or team up for co-op PQ starts from inside rifts. Finish all rift story beats before Expert Mission grinding so transformations and skills are complete.

Seven Distorted Time Eggs appear across Conton City over time — each sits near a major rift or landmark. Collecting them all triggers cutscenes and achievement progress tied to hidden mentor teases. Eggs respawn on timers after story milestones; walk the full hub loop after every saga chapter. They do not replace normal mentor quests — you still need friendship XP from rift parallel quests to unlock Golden Frieza, Purification, and Super Saiyan lines. Track egg collection on your map legend so you never confuse an egg glow with a generic side quest marker during busy hub sessions.
