All Skills — Super Attacks, Ultimates & Awoken Skills

Complete Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 skills unlock reference: mentor training, Parallel Quest drops, Expert Missions, advancement tests, and race-specific Awoken Skill requirements.

Skill Categories in Xenoverse 2

Combat skills divide into Super Attacks (ki supers), Ultimate Attacks, Evasive Skills, and Awoken Skills (transformations). Your CaC equips two supers, one ultimate, one evasive, and one Awoken Skill slot. Mentors teach supers and ultimates through friendship; evasives and rare moves often drop from PQs or raids.

Skills have stamina and ki costs, damage types (strike vs ki blast), and combo utility that matters in PvP and Expert Missions. Collecting every skill is one of the longest completion goals — expect hundreds of hours without DLC shortcuts.

Mentor Skills and Friendship Farming

Each mentor teaches a unique skill tree. At friendship levels Initiate, Super, Ultimate, and Maximum, new moves unlock automatically. Train with a mentor by wearing their outfit, using their skills, and completing their PQs.

Some mentors require defeating them in special Advancement Test battles before teaching advanced moves. Others gate ultimates behind story flags. When switching mentors, previously learned skills remain in your skill shop inventory — you do not lose purchased moves.

  1. Equip mentor's outfit pieces for faster friendship gain.
  2. Run mentor-themed Parallel Quests with Ultimate Finish.
  3. Complete any mentor-specific story or test battles.
  4. Visit mentor in their hub when friendship level increases.
  5. Purchase taught skills from the skill shop if prompted.

PQ Drops, Raids, and Awoken Skills

Many signature moves — Spirit Bomb, Dragon Fist, evasive counters, and raid ultimates — drop from specific Parallel Quests or Expert Missions. Drop rates improve with Z-Rank and sometimes require playing as specific mentors or races.

Awoken Skills follow separate rules. Super Saiyan stages, Potential Unleashed, Golden Frieza, Giant Namekian, Purification, and forms added in DLC each demand race-appropriate quests, stat thresholds, and mentor completion. Ultra Instinct and Beast forms arrive via DLC story arcs and high-level training — see our Transformations hub for exact steps.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I unlock every Awoken Skill on one CaC?

You cannot — Awoken Skills are race-locked. A Saiyan cannot learn Golden Frieza; create multiple CaCs or builds across races for full collection.

Why is a Parallel Quest not dropping the skill I need?

Verify Z-Rank, Ultimate Finish conditions, correct PQ number, and whether the skill is DLC-gated. Some drops require playing as specific characters or mentors.

Can I transfer skills between my CaCs?

Skills unlock per character in your skill inventory. Once learned on one CaC, you may still need to purchase or equip them on alternate CaCs depending on account progression rules.

What is the fastest way to max mentor friendship for skills?

Wear the mentor's full outfit, use their moves in PQs, and repeat their highest-yield friendship quests with Z-Rank clears.

Do Ultimate Attacks work in Expert Missions?

Yes, but EM enemies have large health pools — prioritize high-damage ultimates with good invulnerability frames and super soul synergy.
